New LUM Import Module extends software use analysis
and planning to Catia users
September 9, 2005
LinkRight Software, LLC, the developers of the Tracker software
use analysis and planning tool, today introduced the LUM Import
Module which enables Tracker to import utilization data from software
licensed with IBM's License Use Management (LUM) product, such as
Catia from Dassault Systemes.
The new LUM Import Module allows enterprises to utilize the advanced
analysis and planning tools that Tracker previously only offered
for software licensed using Macrovision's FLEXnet Publisher.
Armed with accurate, detailed utilization data, software purchasers
can confidently identify product needs and ensure that software
expenditures meet the business requirements of the organization.
"Enterprises which support multiple licensing systems have
historically had no single tool to allow them to track software
usage and plan for future purchases or contract remixes, "
states Stephen Kowalczyk, VP of Development at LinkRight. "With
the release of the the LUM Import Module, Tracker now supports two
of the most common licensing systems, FLEXnet Publisher and
LUM, providing a single interface to help companies understand their
software utilization and manage their software purchases, regardless
of the licensing system used by the software vendors."
The LUM Import Module and Tracker are available immediately for
any platform that supports Java 1.4.2 and higher.
LinkRight Software, LLC, a leading provider of user authentication
and software use tracking tools offers Tracker, the first commercial
tool to provide product level tracking, analysis and forecasting
for Macrovision FLEXnet Publisher and IBM LUM licensed products.
